Typically there are two courses that can be taken when it comes to the preconstruction services for your residential project. The Farrell Company can construct your project from plans that are developed by your Architect/Designer and forwarded to us after completion for pricing and construction. Or, we can get involved at a very early stage, essentially the same time the Architect/Designer is selected. This team or “Collaborative” approach, is the ideal method for the construction process. As the design of the building is coming together, all of the necessary personnel are brought into the process to review their area of expertise. This way everyone is sure their part has been conceived properly, and works in step with the other relative elements of the house. This results in proper layout of items such as equipment, framing, and furniture and allows the systems of the house (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to complement the design. Through the “collaborative” approach cost reductions can be foreseen and budget can be reinforced through ongoing estimates as the design unfolds.. Scheduling will become more realistic. In addition, it gives us the opportunity to introduce methods that will insure a better, all around built home with more effective systems, long lasting materials, and quality construction.

Over the course of actual construction we establish weekly meeting dates and time to review past meeting notes, discuss current topics such as budget, schedule, open decisions etc, and finally upcoming actions.

The Farrell Company is proactive in making sure warranty items are documented and handled quickly and efficiently. We also offer a long term maintenance program that is designed to service the complex homes of today to make sure your investment is well managed and maintained.
